Both TASER M26 and M26C shoot out 2 barbs attached to two wires. Once the barbs are embedded on the target’s clothing or skin, 50,000 volts of electricity pass through to the target. However, while the TASER M26 wires can be 15, 20, or even 30 feet long and the shock delivery cycle repeats every 5 seconds, the TASER M26C’s wire is only 15 feet long and the shock delivery cycle repeats every 10 seconds for as long as 30 consecutive seconds. This gives the user the chance to drop the weapon, escape, and get help.
